Wisconsin License Info
In order to participate in a guided hunt with Oakridge guide
Service in Northern Wisconsin you will need the following licenses. For exact
license information please follow the link below to the
Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.

Black
Bear- with or without hounds
To Harvest: Class A Harvest Permit
With Dogs- Zone A
Over Bait-Zone A1 or C
Note: if you would like to hunt over bait and use dogs you will need a Zone A
Permit
Spectators need to purchase a Class B
pursuit permit to hunt in the training and harvest seasons. Class B pursuit
permits can be purchased over the counter at anytime.
Note: Wisconsin Bear Permits are drawn on a lottery points
system. It takes several years to obtain a permit, you cannot purchase them
over-the-counter.
If you would like to do any fishing after your hunt there are several lakes in
the area. WI. fishing licenses can be purchased over the counter at anytime.
Lodging Available on all hunts. Transportation provided
during the hunt.
Please Note:
(a)Those hunters who have been drawn for a Class A Bear
License can
purchase their license at any time beginning on March 10, 2008.
However, licenses purchased after September 3 are not valid until
three days after the purchase (Example: A license purchased on a
Monday is valid on Thursday).
(b)Hunters must apply at least once every three years
to retain their preference points.
